What this site is for

Most people arrive here from a search, and most of those searches are one of a small number of questions. What is the difference between the two kinds of abortion. What happens at the appointment. What is normal afterwards. When should someone get help urgently. Is a claim they read online true.

This site answers those questions in plain language, links the primary source next to the claim it supports, and says clearly when it does not know something.

It does that without shock imagery, without pressure, and without asking for a single piece of health information.

Who publishes it

AbortionProcedure.com is independently published. Its publisher is not a medical provider, not a nonprofit organisation, not a government body, and not affiliated with any clinic, medication supplier, advocacy organisation, or political committee.

No page here is sponsored. No claim on this site is paid for. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page in question and on the funding page.

What it is not

• Not a clinic and not a medical practice. No medical services are provided here.
• Not a diagnosis, triage, or symptom-checking service, and it will not become one.
• Not a provider directory. Verified provider searches run by other organisations are linked where they help.
• Not a medication seller or a telehealth service.
• Not a legal advice service.
• Not an abortion decision recommender. There is no quiz here.
• Not a charity, and it does not accept donations or reader contributions.
• Not a political campaign.

Educational, non-directive, and evidence-led

AbortionProcedure.com presents medical evidence, practical information, and official legal sources without advocating for or against abortion or any pregnancy outcome. It does not recommend, rank, or score personal decisions.

Decision-neutral does not mean treating every factual claim as equally supported. Clinical conclusions follow the strength of the evidence. Uncertainty and study limitations are stated, and political preferences do not change the medical record.

These standards shape the publication.

• People deserve accurate information about their own bodies and health.
• This publication informs. It does not tell a reader which pregnancy outcome to choose.
• Medical facts are not adjusted to fit a political position.
• Privacy is part of the service, not an afterthought.
• Access to accurate information should not depend on money, language, or disability.

Two consequences are visible in how the site works. Factual clinical pages stay evidence-led and are labelled Fact. Analysis pages explain systems, legal records, and source limitations without arguing for a political result. No reader is told how they should feel. Relief, sadness, calm, ambivalence, and nothing in particular are all things people report, and none of them is treated here as the correct response.

The site uses "women" where the subject is specifically women, and inclusive language where the subject includes other people who can become pregnant. It does neither to make a point.

What it will not do

• It will not use graphic, gory, or distressing imagery.
• It will not use fear, guilt, shame, false urgency, or fake testimonials.
• It will not celebrate or condemn abortion.
• It will not diagnose, prescribe, calculate a dose, assess symptoms, or tell anyone their abortion is complete.
• It will not collect pregnancy status, symptoms, the date of a last period, procedure history, or a precise location.
• It will not insert political persuasion into medical guidance or policy explanation.
