Privacy
This site has no forms, no accounts, no cookies of its own, no advertising trackers, and no session recording. It collects no health information of any kind. It uses one privacy-preserving measurement tool, and before any event is sent, sensitive page addresses are replaced with a coarse category and query strings and fragments are removed.
This page describes what this website does with information. It cannot describe what your device, your browser, your network, your employer, or any other website does.
What this site does not collect
There is no form on this site. Nothing you type anywhere in your browser reaches this publication, because there is nowhere here to type it.
Specifically, this site does not collect:
- pregnancy status,
- symptoms,
- the date of a last menstrual period,
- procedure or pregnancy history,
- free-text questions of any kind,
- your name, email address, or phone number,
- your precise location, and
- any account, login, or profile.
There is no newsletter, no gate, and no sign-up. There is no quiz, no calculator, and no symptom checker, so there is no health information for this site to hold, lose, or be compelled to produce.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Measurement
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is a privacy-preserving product that does not use cookies and does not build a cross-site profile of visitors. The vendor's own documentation is linked in the source list at the end of this page.
What matters more is how this site configures it, because the default behaviour is not what this site sends.
Before any event leaves your browser:
- Query strings and fragments are stripped from every event, so nothing after a question mark or a hash is ever transmitted.
- The addresses of sensitive pages are replaced with a coarse category. The urgent-help page, the emergency-help page, the complications page, the infection page, the ectopic pregnancy page, and the bleeding page are all reported as a general category such as "urgent support" or "safety", never as themselves.
- Every state-law address, when those pages exist, is reported as one single category and never as a jurisdiction.
- Any sensitive page that is not explicitly mapped to a category is dropped entirely rather than reported.
What is never sent: page text, anything you selected or searched for, the destination of any source link you opened, or any custom event describing a health topic.
Only two interaction events are permitted at all, and each records that a kind of link was used, not what was on the page: a source link click and an outbound reference link click.
Referrer policy
Every page on this site is served with a referrer policy of no-referrer. When you follow a link from here to an external site, that site is not told which page you came from. Links to outbound reference, legal-help, and medical-help destinations carry an additional link-level instruction to the same effect.
Server logs
Requests to this site are served by Vercel, the hosting provider, which keeps operational logs as part of running the service. This publication does not add its own logging of visitor behaviour, does not enrich requests with location data, and does not join any record to any other record.
Payments
This site does not accept payments, donations, or contributions of any kind. There is no payment page, and no card details or other payment information can be entered anywhere on this domain.
The civic reference this site links to
This site links out to WomenVoters.com as a civic reference. The two sites use separate measurement properties. No visitor identifier is shared with it or with any other site. No behaviour here personalises anything anywhere else. A page you read here does not put you into any audience anywhere, political or otherwise.
Health privacy law
This publication is not a health care provider and is not a covered entity under United States health privacy law. That law governs health care providers, health plans, and their business associates. It does not govern websites, search engines, or internet providers.
This site therefore makes no claim of health privacy law protection. What it can say is what it does, which is set out above.
What this site cannot protect you from
Being honest about the limits matters more than a reassuring sentence.
This site cannot control your browser history, your device, anyone with access to your device, your search engine, your internet provider, your employer's network, or any other website you visit. It cannot make a page you read here invisible to someone who can see your device.
If you are concerned about someone else seeing what you look at, general guidance on private browsing, device security, and shared accounts is more useful than anything a single website can offer. If someone is monitoring you or controlling your decisions, the National Domestic Violence Hotline has confidential support.
This site does not promise anonymity, because no website can honestly promise it.
