Funding
This site is paid for by its publisher. It carries no advertising, no sponsorship, and no affiliate arrangements, and it does not accept donations, tips, or reader contributions. Everything on this site is free and stays free.
This page describes how the publication is funded. It is not financial or tax advice, and it does not describe anyone else's tax position.
Where the money comes from
The operating cost of this publication is paid by its publisher.
There is no advertising on this site. There is no sponsored content. There are no affiliate links, no referral fees, and no commission from any clinic, telehealth service, medication supplier, abortion fund, advocacy organisation, or political committee.
Nobody pays to appear on this site, and nobody pays for a claim to be worded a particular way.
Reader contributions are not accepted
This publication does not accept donations, tips, or contributions from readers. There is no payment page and no payment control anywhere on this site, and no page asks for money.
Optional one-time contributions were previously accepted through a Stripe hosted payment page. They are no longer accepted.
Tax position
This publication is not a charity and does not hold charitable status. Any claim to the contrary would be false, and this page will say so plainly if that position ever changes with proper legal basis.
Where money never appears
No page on this site asks for money. If that ever changes, this page changes first, before any payment control appears anywhere else.
Editorial independence
The publisher is responsible for what appears here and is also the person paying for it. That is a real structural fact rather than a boast, so this site does two things about it. It publishes the editorial standards in full, so the rules can be checked against what actually gets published. And it publishes every substantive correction with a date on the corrections page, so mistakes are visible rather than quietly repaired.
Change history
Every material change to this page is dated here. Typo fixes that do not change meaning are not listed and do not move the update date.
- Substantive change. Closed reader contributions. The publication no longer accepts payments of any kind, the support page was retired, and the contribution terms were removed from this page.
- Editorial change. Opened optional one-time contributions through Stripe, stated that contributions fund this publication alone, and replaced the named-recipient disclosure with the recipient Stripe shows at checkout and on the receipt.
- Published. First publication of the funding disclosure, including the current absence of reader contributions and the tax position.
