AbortionProcedure.com editorial team

Research, drafting, and maintenance of the published explainers

The editorial team researches, drafts, and maintains the explainers on this site. The byline is the team rather than an individual because the same small group writes, checks, and updates every page, and because a byline should describe who is actually accountable.

What the editorial team does:

  • Reads primary sources in full rather than working from search summaries or secondary coverage.
  • Writes original explanations instead of paraphrasing a source paragraph by paragraph.
  • Records which source supports which claim, so any statement can be traced back.
  • Watches the sources that change most often and opens a task when one of them moves.
  • Publishes corrections in the open and dates them.

What the editorial team does not do:

  • It does not provide medical services, diagnosis, or treatment advice.
  • It does not accept payment, gifts, or hospitality in exchange for coverage, placement, or wording.

If you believe something on this site is wrong, incomplete, or out of date, the corrections process explains how to say so and what happens next.

Conflicts of interest

The editorial team receives no payment, product, referral fee, or other consideration from any clinic, telehealth service, medication supplier, abortion fund, advocacy organisation, or political committee. No page on this site is sponsored.

Compensation

Editorial work is paid for out of the operating budget of the publication, which is funded by its publisher. The publication accepts no reader contributions.
